Question by Catholic Truth !!:

Why would a Mexican American Lady i know tell me Mexican men from old Mexico have sex with daughters?

I told her i did not believe her but she was very serious and insisted she was right as she still had family in Mexico and she knows it for a fact..

I guess this depends how widespread this might have been. Here is a link which says that rape was a crime against the family in Mexico and mentions the father/daughter connection.

Here is another link that said although today incest is considered a taboo, it has a long cultural history.

Unfortunately, incest is not as uncommon as people think, but goes unreported, like rape.
