Where in lafayette LA can a sex offender live?
I am trying to help my boyfriend find an apartment that will rent to him. He is a registered sex offender. Any places that you know of?
Some places will not rent to him though. I called one place and they hung up on me when I asked.

sex offenders have always lived in our communities and the police has no legal say to direct where sex offenders may or may not live. unless court ordered restrictions exist, an offender is constitutionally free to live wherever he or she chooses. the only requirement is that those convicted of sex offenses must register with the authorities in the area where he/she now lives.
